SharePoint Online analytics, there are three ways to measure user engagement.

Method 1: Use SharePoint’s built-in site use reports.

Out-of-the-box SharePoint use reports provide data that can help you enhance SharePoint usage and impact analysis. The reports show a variety of statistics about how visitors interacted with the content on a site, such as the most viewed things’ or the most active users.’

Go to Reports in the admin center, then click Usage.

Click the View more button on the SharePoint card on the dashboard homepage.

On the right-hand side, select Choose columns to add more information to your reports, such as external sharing, pages visited, active files, the site’s sensitivity label, and more.

You can build a plan to manage sprawl and increase adoption based on the survey results. If you notice any recurring themes (for example, a site that no one uses), it will help you make better judgments.
